Why I Started DawwiBlue Card

At 22, I left my home in London for the first time and moved to Dubai to begin my career in banking. Three months later, my father fell ill.

By 26, I was unhappy in my career and chose to return to London to pursue an MBA, a step I hoped would give me credibility before joining the family business. During the first year of my MBA, my father passed away.

Shortly after, I took on leading the family’s work, facing decisions and challenges far beyond my experience.

I had to navigate long-standing relationships and find my place in a dynamic that had existed long before me. At the same time, I was making significant decisions in our family’s affairs, some of which led to mistakes and losses.

At 32, I married and later went through a divorce. It was a difficult period personally, even as work was beginning to stabilise.

In the years that followed, the demands on me only increased, but I approached them differently.

Today, I lead my investment company with confidence and vision. I have navigated serious challenges in my life in a way I am proud of.

Looking back, I can now see how much I would have benefited from guidance during those years. The path would have been heavy either way, but guidance from someone who had already carried similar weight would have offered clarity and reassurance.

Dawwi was created to offer the kind of guidance I did not have when I needed it most.
